We have found the lost set of Eldorado!

Well Seville was a success, apart from Alan and his pictures of the matching cats that were distant relatives to one of my cats back home – Esmerelda. Trouble was they had been around for some time looking for food from any one who would let them in. Then he decided he would take the picture (there were two of the 1 second before the shutter went, just as I rushed out to take a look my self, there was dad and cat everywhere ! So lousy picture , but they did bear a uncanny resemblance to her back home (dad did say it was her, had travelled on her broom stick to get here (they always mock her for being a member of a coven )
How big a Seville orage tree do you want ? There everywhere !

Any way after my breakfast walk (we will call it that for time lapse purposes – as is was much later than people have breakfast !) we got ourselves in gear, and got ready for the off. One last job to do, email and blog matters before we leave the WIFI that had not been working properly the previous evening. Guy found that the receptionist had not been killed by Alan, as told him about the problem in Spanish. The response was Spanish too, so nothing got done, he came out wishing Alan had sorted him!!
Same problem as we left, so Guy went in again this time the nice female assistant, who had several other guests trying to explain they could not log on. “Well I can” she said, and that was that, they all left hugging their laptops, having sampled that common problem – Customer service – what’s that?
Is this Esmerelda just off her broom stick ?

Off to the supermarket, and not one but two. First they could not resist seeing if there were any bargains in LIDL, there must have been because they came out with three carrier bags. They did say it was different as the store had a huge deli, with cut meats and cheeses, and other nice stuff. Then over to Carrefour, where apparently there was a Union protest outside the front of the shop. That would explain the siren and large drum I could hear, they kept banging and blasting to make a point they were there – apparently there were police and dozens of security men all over the place, Dads got looked at several times, thought they might have been part of the gang, trying to get inside to protest, I had this vision of seeing them being dragged out backwards without any shopping!!

Now we have travelled about 160km to Cordoba and then a bit more. Again some amazing scenery, rocky plains, then lush agriculture, fields green as far as you could see, then rolling hills all different colours, vast ploughed areas that would keep my mate Kenny the farmer away from home for six months while he ploughed just one field ! and that would not please Debbie!

The site is quite and very nice, the main area done in a tasteful Greek blue. And they tell me its not the only thing Greek , the toilet and shower block made them smile. One big roll of toilet paper on the wall as you walk in, so you take your quota with you, then a request to put waste in basket by the loo (do you remember Debbie?). Just as well we have our own facilities on board Priscilla.. While we are on toilet humour, let me tell you what happen last night. Sitting, them having a glass of chilled wine (what else !) me with my Jumbone, the gas alarm went off, making everyone jump and concerned that the gas tanks were leaking. Until Alan said he was having “silent” reaction to an earlier meal, and the detector had “sniffed” it and activated the siren – what are they like – if that had been me I would have been told off.
Now Eldorado – I had no idea what they were on about, until they said it was an old failed soap opera. And the village here Villafranca di Cordaba, it’s a whole new purpose built (yes its Spain) village in the middle of nowhere, and looks like they have just moved the cameras out. Apparently they expected Xavier to jump out of a doorway – another fantasy I suppose!
And is this the TV set for Eldorado!

We’re back home now, cooled down with the aircon as it was 33° in the sun, 28° and I wont tell you how hot it got under my fur . Bet you can’t guess what we are doing ? think glass and bone ! - chilled bubbles and a beefy hors d’ouvres . They just confided in me that the bottle of bubbles cost about €1.50 and wine for dinner €1.20. Can’t see it being an early start!

Maybe Granada, maybe the Alhambra Palace, but definitely much of the above before.
