Its all go for Alhambra

Well it was decided without a word spoken. There would be another day at this site, just to take in the sun (31 deg today) and chill. We have everything we need, so its going to be a hard day (Ha Ha).
If you look at the big picture you will see its not bats in the belfry but a huge heron nest

Opposite our pitch there is a Spanish couple (tuggers) who match the TV characters Wayne + Waynetta, but there Spanish so dad said they would be Juan + Juanita (just smile). She spends most of the day with a fag hanging from her mouth, in a top of range shell suit. He spends most of the time cooking on a gas barbeque about the size of a dinner plate. They had just had lunch, when what looked like a load of fiends or relatives joined them, parking there cars along side. It must have been a surprise because he rushed to the little shop on site and came back with a couple of carriers of goodies. Then the barbe which had been turned off and cleaned, was fired up again, and he cooked for about 7 on the Bunsen burner, so who needs TV (even if the 3deg twist means we still have the good old BBC for evening entertainment.).
I have never layed down to drink before but it takes less energy, and that the order of the day

It was also the weekend so quite a number of Spanish families arrived in their static set-ups. The kids were all asking questions about me, don’t think they have seen a big dog before, so the pictures were taken, and allowed some fussing for the best in class, had to keep getting Guy to interpret as we have know idea what their asking, and none of the kids could speak any English. The little restaurant on site opened,(weekends only in winter) but we had plenty of nice food so dad did a lots of dishes for dinner, friends back home will know what I mean.

Daytime so no telly as you would expect, so I look out the window and people watch (as you do!) and I had to tell them to look with me, a lady from along the row, went to the shower block/loos, and as I said yesterday, she had to collect the toilet paper from the dispenser just inside the main door. Well she must have some medical problem, as she pulled the end of the paper, putting it into the top of the carrier bag she had taken with her. Then she pulled and pulled, stuffing the paper into the bag as it came off the roll. When the bag was full (or the roll empty) she went to the loo, poor woman what condition could she have?

So Juan + Juanita we off just before us this morning, and it does not look such a nice day, overcast, but who cares.

We are off to Granada, and The Sierra Nevada National park and mountains. Its an ever changing view again to day, dad was saying you just don’t realise Spain is so big, half way and we could see the mountains. But we passed by hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of square miles of Olive groves. They were saying it looked like a huge tapestry thrown over the landscape. All the fields were planted in different directions, and the groves went up the slopes of the low mountains (nobody knows how they get the olives from these trees). It was very impressive, BUT one problem the A92 reminded me of Italy last year, we bounced along and my bits were getting a rough time, added to which there was strong wind down the mountains. They did warn me when they could see a bad hole ahead, but sometimes it was a surprise to us all.
Olive trees for miles and miles amazing patterns!

The weather has remained much cooler today (not that I am complaining with my thick fur). We have arrived at site Camping Reina Isabel, a site designed to be very traditional for the area, with buildings with little iron balconies, and like most city sites very compact !. There is a shop with delicatessen (how cool is that for a site) and the Owner was very helpful (how unusual can that be !) he explained everything, and even solved a problem for THEM. Tomorrow they will go to the ball and I will stay at home just like Cinders!. He booked them the Alhambra Tickets, as its winter its much easier. They got some for the afternoon, and the 30minute slot for the Palaces is at 3pm. So they are off to town tomorrow, and I’m not, but while I snooze I will again think of what will be acceptable as penance. Just so long as they bring back the Pics for my blog !

I have a German mate next door, there is a white Husky round the corner, and in one of the wooded chalets, something that looks like a powder puff with legs, will have to investigate if its dog or alien !
The BIG one opposite us, they were nice Swedish people

Now we have been here a few hours and IT REALY is a people watching site. So have been taking notes ( and pics) which I will share with you tomorrow.
This is the miliaty green van, I thought he was going to get in the box to sleep !

Just to keep your interest – there is a women who keeps clutching her neck, so she must have lost her pearls and keeps looking into motorhome windows (while vacated) to look for them. The French who arrived in a unit the size of a London bendy bus, and spent ages trying to park up, there is a van painted like an army tank, a Swedish couple with another giant van, who came home and put there scooter and two cycles into the garage, much viewing for all the people watching, The tuggers who dropped a caravan, Watch this space!

Have to see if Hello want any of my pics and notes ! (Pics for the blog later)
